[P44] Message From Nik Aziz

August 24, 2008

A short message for the voters in Permatang Pauh from Dato’ Haji Nik Aziz Nik Mat. Sorry for the non-translation.

RAYUAN PENGUNDI DI PERMATANG PAUH

Kepada Seluruh Rakyat Malaysia, Khasnya Permatang Pauh.

Tuan/Puan,

Alhamdulillah.

Wassalam.

DATO’ HAJI NIK ABDUL AZIZ BIN NIK MAT
Mursyidul Am PAS

The audience was speechless then gave the PAS leader a rousing applause. The forum was organized by Guang Ming Daily, Sin Chew Daily, Eye Asia and Sin Chew-i held at Dewan Dou Mu in Ipoh at 2pm and attracted 3000 people. Speakers included PKR national vice-president Dr Lee Boon Chye, Perak DAP chief Ngeh Koo Ham, Wangsa Maju Member of Parliament Wee Choo Keong and Sin Chew’s Deputy Chief Editor Tay Tian Yan.

This is one of the reason why Sultan Azlan Shah chose him above the other candidates. His communication skills would be a great asset considering that Perak has a large number of Chinese and Indians.

The opposition has successfully averted an impasse after party leaders reached an amicable decision to reallocate the composition of the Perak state executive council posts last night.PKR deputy president Dr Syed Husin Ali confirmed that the new composition will be six DAP, three PKR and one PAS to form the 10-person Perak state executive council.Syed Husin said the new state government will also appoint a PKR representative to be one of its two senators.

More details will be revealed after the swearing-in of the new Perak Menteri Besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin from PAS.

Malaysia Divided ?

March 11, 2008

Got this statistics regarding the just commenced PRU 2008. Quite an interesting figure what with nearly half of the votes are given for the Barisan Rakyat. We should also consider that some of the spoilt votes could have meant to be given as a vote of no confidence to the BN candidate.

P.S. : If we deduct the ‘pengundi hantu’ would the BN have won ?
